Sorry to drop such a downer:

Don't you hate it when people tell you that they're willing to accept any decision you make so long as you make the right one? My parents just changed their minds about allowing me to return to Christendom. I knew it was comming. There's no way my parents were actually willing to allow me to "have no future" (Read "career")

Oh well.

I don't know for sure what I'll be doing this fall but I'll visit on the weekends I promise. I be able to buy a car with the money that would have gone to tuition. Its such a shame, I miss you guys already. Its all for the best though... I hope.

Sorry Matt.

God Bless.

  1. What the heck? I don't know what to say. . . my first desire is to say "you're kidding right?" but I know you wouldn't joke about this. . . I'm really sorry Andrew. I wish I could do something about it.

  2. JMJ I'm so sorry to hear this Andrew. You will be much missed. You're in my prayers and I hope that through this you will be able to find exactly what God desires for you in your life. In Christ, ~Claire

  3. WHAT?! This is nuts! You should have your parents call my mum, she'd say a thing or two! Ahhhh!!! This is not allowed!

  4. There is an opening. I might able to convince them to let me stay an extra semester, but that will require promissing them perfect grades.I don't think it will work.

  5. Andrew, I'm going to miss you. You're one of the people with more common sense at school, and man I loved to hear you go at it in Philosophy class! It was one of the most enjoyable things hearing you and Dr. Cuddeback go at, or you debating the class. You have a very keen sense of humour. What a great time.
I hope your parents change their mind. I was looking forward to seeing you again in the Fall, and if you don't come you will be sorely missed. God bless, and take care whatever happens, Andrew.

  6. JMJ Andrew, I say go for it! Look if Christendom is what you really want to do, well then beg...hey that's what I would do. I have the attitude in this case of "doing whatever it takes" within reason and morals of course, but that's just me. But seriously, (if you don't have any plans for the fall and you're already registered at CC then why couldn't you return for one more semester) and you never know maybe your parents could have a turn around about letting you finish there.
I just hate to see any of us have to leave for the reason of career. Well, I don't know...do what you think is best. If it doesn't work out you have got to come on the weekends and see all of us. But read the quote at the top of the blog again, that should say what I’m trying to say perfectly.

  7. Hey, if they'll give you the inch, go the bloody mile! I think that you can get a 4.0 Andrew. And as Claire said if you don't have any plans for the fall. . .

But I guess in the end it's up to you. However, even if you decide not to come back you definitely have to come up for the weekends!

  9. I don't know what to say as well. (this is why I should go online more frequently) Andrew, if you do plead your case, make sure you use reason. Remember, we are here for you. Even if we can't see you face to face, we can still keep in touch.
